Hanwell Village Lunch and Fete Planning Meeting
Thank you to the 18 people who came to the planning meeting on May 8th and also to all those of you who couldn’t make the meeting but have offered to help. We feel very encouraged by all your support and it is great that everyone wants this village event to continue. Below is a summary of what was decided:
Date: Sunday 24th June
Venue: Playing field and Village Hall
Timings: 12.30pm start
1pm – lunch
2.30pm – children’s (and adult?!) races
side shows/games
tombola etc
4.30pm – tea and drawing of Raffle in village hall
Tickets: Adults - £7.50
Children 5 – 12years - £5.00
Children under 5 – free
Ticket price includes the main course for lunch. We will be asking for donations of desserts and cakes. Tickets will indicate what people need to bring i.e. drinks, glasses etc plus money to spend at the fete after lunch!
Richard Woodward at Patience Cottage will be responsible for ticket sales. Please send cheques payable to Hanwell Village Hall for full amount to reserve your places.
Colin and Sheila Palmer will be running the raffle.
Keith and Pam Williams will be knocking on your door to collect prizes for the Tombola from Saturday 16th June.
